    How to Apply:

    Job Duties:

    • Observe swimming activities and safety of the public to comply with safety guidelines.
    • Performs necessary duties to ensure the beach area is free of trash and debris. Warns swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces beach regulations and water safety policies.
    • Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.
    • Evaluates conditions for safety and initiates aquatics emergency action plan as required. Inspects facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable.
    • Maintains log of daily procedures and completes reports and forms associated with patient care.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Requires a valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Training or equivalent lifeguard training,
    • CPR/AED and Open Water Guard certification or equivalent lifeguard training must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
