Job Duties:
Reporting to the Manager of Voter Registration, the Voter Registration Representative I performs a wide variety of routine tasks associated with registering voters and conducting elections including computer research, data entry, proofreading for accuracy, comparing and verifying signatures, and field incoming calls. Ideal candidates for this position will possess data entry skills and the ability to work in small groups on detailed, repetitive tasks.
Requirements:
Preference: Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese and or Chinese.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution within the U.S.
Experience: Minimum of (1) year clerical office experience working with public or in high-paced environment. Minimum of (2) years of customer service experience
Minimum typing speed of 35 wpm. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point. Excellent phone etiquette. Outstanding organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Communication Skills necessary with verbal, written, and interpersonal interactions. Customer Service Skills with strong interpersonal ability. Time Management: ability to prioritize tasks with processing and ability to meet deadlines. Must be able to adhere to office confidentiality requirements regarding customer and voter information.

Job Duties:
Porter will wash large, heavy pots and pans. Will sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, the floor and cooking material. Harris County is seeking a qualified Job Analysis Specialist or Compensation Consultant to support the HCSO Classification Review Process as part of the countywide Compensation & Pay Equity Project administered by Harris County Human Resources & Training (HRT).
The selected consultant will serve as an independent, third-party professional whose findings and recommendations will carry credibility with employees, supervisors, and bureau leadership. This role is critical to ensuring that the HCSO classification review process is perceived as — and in fact is — objective, consistent, and professionally administered.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in job analysis, classification, or compensation consulting in the public sector.
- Demonstrated experience with law enforcement, public safety, or government agency classifications preferred.
- Familiarity with Harris County compensation frameworks or countywide classification systems a plus.
- Professional certification preferred: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR), or equivalent.
